I bought a new cue from a friend recently who replaced his tip and was not getting enough grab on the ball with it. So I used this to shape it and poked it to make sure it held chalk well and it improved my game immediately. Best part is that it is small so I can carry it around with my personal cue easily in the bags.

Shape up for your break out
By F1 Fan
Works like a charm. First tried it on my hard tipped break cue and the shape is perfect. I suggest placing the shaper on a table and pointing the shaft down into the shaper. Rotate the shaft like you are trying to start a campfire :) I also used it on the tip of my McDermott and it looks and plays great. Not sure that I would use the pick but the shaper and scuffer will probably get weekly use.

Great tool for breaking up the leather fibers on a your cue tip. I mainly use the "stabbing" method as it will only break the fibers and not remove them. Unlike the scuff and shape ends, which remove fibers.
My buddies were impressed and now ask to barrow it when we go play.
I like the fact that it is metal and has some weight to it. It helps when stabbing the que tip.
