Played with daily! Sturdy and a great addition to any playroom
By Michelle E
We bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it has been used daily for the last four months. I really like the tray on the bottom to hold items. Assembly took seconds. The tray that goes across is what supports the frame and keeps the easel open so if you want to store away flat, you would need to remove the tray every time. If you plan to buy an easel to store when not in use I might pick a different type that is meant for that. We keep this open all the time because it's used all the time so it's not an issue for us. My one complaint is there is something about whatever is used for the whiteboard that I cannot find an eraser that actually works to erase the marker/crayons without just smearing them. I gave up on my search and we just use a baby wipe which works wonderfully (as does a wet rag/paper towel/etc.). That is my only real complaint. I would buy this again and for the price I don't think I'd shop around for a better one b/c this is a wonderful value. My 2, now almost 3, year old uses this daily and it is a great tool for creativity, entertainment, and learning. I have been able to clean paint/marker/etc. off of the frame and off of the chalkboard which is a plus. Some tips: (1) DON'T get chalk holders...I thought they would cut down on the dust on her hands from holding the chalk and keep them from getting broken - instead she kept dropping the chalk and then the holders scratched the blackboard; (2) DO get the crayola dry erase crayons - the markers are a must have but the crayons really work well and they are fun to change it up; (3) Buy nicer magnetic letters. The included letters are flexible, inexpensive letters that you have to punch out from a sheet. They work, and they are fine, but since they are foam material I don't expect them to last forever and if they get marker/crayon on them it won't come off. I'd recommend buying an inexpensive set of the plastic magnetic letters to go with this. (4) if you have hard floors, consider getting something nonslip to put on the bottom or getting a rug to put it on. We have hardwood floors and it slides easily so we had to teach her she can't lean on it at all and we braced it against the wall so it didn't move when she was pushing on it erasing it or drawing.

i have twin 5 year old daughters and the easel work great for them. it comes basically assembled. there are only two parts to put together, the pink main part and the purple tray. very very easy! the easel also comes with the magnets that are in the picture. i can even store the art supplies in the middle of the easel because the tray goes across from one side to the other. therefore, it's like having an extra tray to hold and hide the paints, crayons, paper and etc.

Sturdy easel for kids 3 and above
By Jade Hughes
Sturdy and tall easel! We bought this for my then 18 month old and realized that I should have read the dimensions a little better because it was a little too tall for her (she was only 31 in at the time).
I would recommend this easel for kids who are three or older, and they can probably use it for a pretty long time too!
I wasn't really enchanted by the foam magnets - they are small and not of great quality, so we replaced them with regular plastic ones.
We love that the easel has both chalk and dry erase sides, and a clip to attach a piece of paper. My daughter was able to pull the paper down quite easily though, but again, probably because she was only 18 months old and a little young for this easel.
In a nutshell this is a sturdy easel, and I would recommend it for 3 years and above.
