So, I've used these a number of times. They fit well and they aren't too noticeable, but the padding is very minimal and the worst part is that the padding already disintegrated. I have no idea how, probably just by using it. It's literally as thin as a centimeter now; it's completely useless.

Nice, lightweight construction with decent padding
By M. Tsang
Nice, lightweight construction with decent padding. The padding is rather slim and that does comes with some trade offs. It obviously won't feel like falling on a pillow but it also won't make your butt look 10x larger under those snow pants. I feel like there's a good compromise because you definitely need mobility while snowboarding and these won't get in the way. Also, this won't prevent major injuries but will soften the blow a little and maybe make those bruises a little smaller and more bearable. It provides some warmth while sitting on the snow and chair lift which is extremely valuable after a long day on the mountain. The only possible negative I can see is durability. The elastic fabric and seams may tear after some hard use but that is yet to be seen.

I bought these for two things, 1) Riding on blacktop with my freeboard and 2) Snowboarding. I haven't wrecked yet on my freeboard so I can't vouch for pavement impact but on hard pack ski slopes they really came through. I had so real whippers and never felt them. Also, the padding is closed cell foam so it kept my bum warm when sitting on the snow and chair lifts. The pads came out easily for cleaning and went back in with no problem. The sizing chart seemed right on.
