Cute little toy
I bought this as a Birthday gift for my 3 year old. All the pieces were wrapped but were thrown in as another reviewer commented, not like the photo shown with sectioned box. Nothing was missing, but upon unwrapping, I discovered that paint on some of the pieces came chipped. For a second, I thought they sent me a used toy. My daughter was excited, nonetheless, and love playing with this set.
I had to look for screw driver that fit hex socket but other than that, assembly is very simple. Overall, it is very cute toy, just wish the paint didn't came chipped.

Broke after only a few tea times :(
This set is absolutely adorable....while it lasts! I'm only giving two stars because it only lasted 2 weeks and a few play times. My daughter picked it up and the stand broke apart. She is gentle with her toys, so rough play was not a factor! I'm disappointed in the time frame this lasted.

So cute and fun but stand is not sturdy enough
By Jim McMillan
My toddlers LOVE playing with this set so much that I bought a second one so they could each have their own set when having tea parties. It's so cute and the pastries are nice solid wood and beautifully painted. Unfortunately though, the second one I bought broke in the first week. The cake stand base is not solid wood like the pastries but instead it's a pressed cardboard I think. I'm not sure what happened since they came to me crying showing it was broken, but I'm guessing cardboard just isn't strong enough to hold up to an uncoordinated toddler play.
Anyway, I ended up trying to gorilla glue it back together but it ripped out again the next day
